California Bat

This video is about one of our newest patients, a California Bat (Myotis californicus). They are one of the smallest bats in the United States. This one is about one month old and did very well in the care of California Wildlife Center's Rabies Vector Unit. Bats can sometimes carry rabies, so should only be handled by trained professionals.
